director’s vision

Hold Me explores how love can quietly turn into control.

The film unfolds in real time within a contained space, allowing behaviour to speak for itself. There is no music and very little visual intervention; the camera observes rather than interprets.

Rather than dramatising or explaining the dynamic, the intention is to remain with it — resisting spectacle, clarity, or moral instruction. Violence, when it arrives, is not foregrounded, but felt as the consequence of something already normalised.

At its core, Hold Me is concerned with emotional confusion: when reassurance becomes obligation, and intimacy begins to function as containment.
